LENTEN “FAST AND ABSTINENCE” REGULATIONS
- Everyone 14 years of age or over is bound to abstain from meat on Ash Wednesday, all Fridays during Lent and Good Friday.
- Everyone 18 years and under 60 years of age is bound to fast on Ash Wednesday and Good Friday.
- When fasting, a person is permitted to eat one full meatless meal. Two smaller meals may also be taken, sufficient to maintain strength according to each one’s needs, but together not to equal as full meal.
- Catholics should not lightly excuse themselves from these prescribed minimal penitential practices.
Christ the King “Holy Name Society Annual Pancake Breakfast” will be held on Sunday-February 21, 2016. Your attendance would be greatly appreciated. Remember this is the only Holy Name Society event held at your parish each year and your support is needed to purchase raffle tickets and attend the breakfast.
