Parishioners of Christ the King * there is an “URGENT” need for your assistance in the “Ministry of Music” and to be part of your parish choir or choir leader as cantors at all the weekend masses. All questions and interest can be addressed to the choir members at the mass you attend. We welcome you to participate!
Eucharistic Adoration that takes place here @ Christ the King Parish, the First Friday, of each month, is a very special day in which special prayer requests are prayed for. There is an urgent need for Eucharistic Adorers. We are blessed to have those who already have made a commitment to 1 hour and sometimes 2 hours of prayer . Eucharistic Adoration is a vital part of this parish. Please consider taking a vacant time slot opening to come and pray for yourself, your family, our community, peace in the world and whatever is in your heart and talk to God, in the quiet and serenity of church. There is also a need for adorers to be placed on “Substitute List” . We need you to keep this an active ministry !

Attention Servers: An invitation has been extended for you to attend “Server Appreciation Trip” with Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Marshfield. Destination: Mt. Olympus in Wis. Dells on Mon. August 21st. * seats are available * Your fee is being paid , so this is FREE for our servers, who are able to go. Individual in charge is Deacon Ray Draeger. Additional guests, family members and friends may go but must pay the fee of $14.00 each / this includes all day pass plus soda / water/snacks on the bus and a hot dog/chips @ the park. You will be leaving from the Sacred Heart parking lot at 8:30 am ! sharp and arrive at Mt. Olympus when it opens at 10 am and will return to Mfld at approximately 4:30 pm. Please call Judy at the parish office @ 715-659-4480 Ext. 0 and reserve your spot no later than August 17th. You will be asked to come to parish office to pick up a required “General Child Consent and Release Form “and than return it to parish office completed / signed in order to participate in trip.
Mission Team News Our mission team has returned from Tanzania, and they brought back many yards of colorful fabric. We are looking for ladies who would like to assist in creating items from this fabric such as: placemats, napkins, table runners, tote bags, etc. These items will then be sold to parishioners, and the proceeds will be used to benefit the Sisters of Our Lady Queen of Africa. If you are interested in helping to make items, please call Susan Youngwith
Coming this fall !! The 1st bible study offered on DVD of the Gospel of John will be offered at St John the Baptist Parish stating the 1st Sunday after Labor Day. It is a 8 part series hosted by renowned apologist Edward Sri It will be followed by another study from Ascension Press’ Great Adventure Series. The Acts of the Apostles, which will run into May / 2018.Details and registration coming soon
Holy Day of Obligation * The Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary * Vigil Mass on Monday *August 14th @ 7 p.m. and Holy Day mass on August 15th @ 8:30 a.m. @ Christ the King parish. Ministry participants are needed and a sign up sheets can be located on back table . If you are attending any of these masses your help in the ministries is greatly appreciated.
